Music is an inspiration and a solace for millions of people, but the music industry can sometimes feel a soulless place… UKNY believes in the power of music as a force for good and we donate both our expertise and a proportion of our profits to make a real and lasting difference in people’s lives.
Invasion
the first international music festival in India, is ploughing a share of its profit back into the sub-continent through donations to Calcutta Rescue Fund. Founded by a British doctor in 1979, Calcutta Rescue helps 100,000 people each year by providing high quality medical care, education, vocational training and other services, regardless of gender, age, caste or religion.
Zak Biddu has a family connection to both the charity and the region. When he had the idea for Invasion, it was an essential element of the original vision that the Calcutta Rescue Fund should benefit.
